Questions
What is Text Lamb?
Text Lamb (“Lamb” for short) is an AI assistant for seniors who aren’t comfortable with tech. You text it like you’d text a person. It helps spot scams, can say a daily hello, sends medication reminders, explains paperwork, and answers everyday questions.
Do I need to download an app?
No. There’s nothing to download. Just text Lamb from the phone you already have.
How does the scam check work?
Before you click a link, pay someone or call a number back, text or screenshot it to Lamb. Lamb tells you plainly what it thinks, so you can decide with a clear head.
What is the daily check-in?
It’s a short hello from Lamb each day, if you’d like one. You pick the time, and you can reply with anything. You can also choose up to three people for Lamb to text if you don’t answer, like an emergency contact. They get one short text, never in the middle of the night. Want to stop? Just tell Lamb. The daily check-in is coming soon to the pilot.
What is family chat?
A group text with you, Lamb and someone you choose, like a grown child, grandchild, relative or friend. It’s handy for going over a letter or a bill together. It comes with the Family add-on and the All In plan.
Will my family see my texts?
Family sees what’s said in a group chat you’re both in. If you choose someone for the daily check-in, Lamb sends them one short text if you don’t answer. If it’s about a medicine reminder, the text just says a reminder wasn’t confirmed. It never names the medicine. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.
I’m setting this up for someone I love. How does that work?
Request an invite for someone you love. Start with your details, then add them in step 2, and Lamb texts you both to say hello. You can pay for it as a gift. More for families.
How do I join?
Text Lamb is in an invite-only pilot. Request an invite for yourself or for someone you love using the form on this page. If you’re signing up for someone else, start with your details and add them in step 2. If someone sent you an invite link, open it and join from there.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Start with a 2-week free trial, then it becomes a paid plan. See Plans above for prices.
Is Lamb a person? Is it medical advice?
Lamb is an AI assistant, not a person. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about health, money or legal matters. In an emergency, call 911. Our Terms explain this in full.
How do I stop messages or cancel?
Reply STOP to stop messages. To cancel a paid plan, text “cancel my plan”. The SMS Terms have the details.
How is my information handled?
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how it’s used. Questions? Email hello@textlamb.com.
Still have a question? Email hello@textlamb.com.
